GRRRL POWER VOL. 8 by henghdf
I made a new GRRRL POWER mix-tape for you, including incredibly great artists such as Fever Ray, Tami Tamaki, FKA Twigs, Beyoncé, Angel Haze and many more. This time, I tried to create a dreamy-dark but still bouncy overall-theme. Enjoy!

Anonymous asked:
so what's your opinion on masculinists, mras and anti feminist people

no-more-ramen:

as a woman, a person of color, and a person with mental illness, anti-feminism makes me uncomfortable. people who are anti-feminist are either a) misinformed about what feminism actually is, or b) they’re against social equality for people like me. that’s as simple as it is, because feminism’s ultimate goal is to rid society of oppression.

i don’t understand how someone who has truly taken the time to educate themself about feminism would be against a movement that aims to rid our world of sexism, heterosexism, ableism, racism, etc. a world where feminism prevails is the kind of place where truly anyone can succeed.

i hope i don’t get too preachy or idealistic sounding here (hey, you asked, anon!), but i want to live to see a world where people of color aren’t killed by the police on a daily basis, or where 1 in 4 women aren’t sexually assaulted in their lifetime, or where lgbtq people don’t have to be scared of being disowned or left homeless. i want everyone to have the tools and ability and support to be the best they can be — that’s what feminism aims to achieve. that’s flippin’ awesome, anon!

"You have this one life. How do you wanna spend it? Apologizing? Regretting? Questioning? Hating yourself? Dieting? Running after people who don’t see you? Be brave. Believe in yourself. Do what feels good. Take risks. You have this one life. Make yourself proud."

"A trigger warning is not a rule, it’s a tool. It does not demand that we withdraw from topics that are taboo or traumatic, but rather suggests that we approach such topics with greater empathy, greater awareness that not everyone reads the same way."
